What to Bring
Please bring your own towel and bathing suit and water bottle. In addition, Banya is a barefoot friendly facility but please feel welcome to bring your own flip flops and maybe even a robe to lounge in! Staying hydrated is important, so bring a water bottle, though we’ll have hydration options available too. If you forget your towel, Banya will have items available for purchase.

LET’S BANYA
Arrive
We are located at 350 Rte 1 Byp S, Portsmouth, NH 03801. We are located in the West End Yard and have lots of parking! Come on in, kick off your shoes, and you’ll be greeted by our welcoming Banya Staff. If you are new, we’ll check you in and give you all the information you need.
Next, you’ll recieve your own personal combination locker and you can proceed into the locker rooms with private changing areas so you can put on your bathing suit and get ready to have your banya experience! All guests will take a body-rinse shower before heading into the main room! This arrival process kicks off the first step of your Banya Experience!
2. Heat Up
Start by stepping into one of our saunas. Feel the soothing, dry heat envelop you as your body begins to warm from the inside out. This part of the experience helps to boost circulation, loosen muscles and joints, open up your pores for a deep, detoxifying sweat
Banya Staff Tip: Spend 10-15 minutes in the sauna to get your body nice and toasty. Listen to your body and exit if you feel overheated
3. Cool Down
Next, it’s time to take the plunge—literally! Jump into one of our cold plunges or step into our refreshing experience shower. The sudden chill will wake up your senses and reduce inflammation, tighten pores, and improve recovery and muscle repair
Banya Staff Tip: Aim for 30 seconds to 2 minutes in the cold to maximize the benefits. It’s intense, but deeply empowering and feels amazing!
4. Relax & Connect
Find your way to our cozy relaxation area or the soothing hot tub. Start a conversation or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Sip on a refreshing mocktail from our lounge, chat with friends, or simply close your eyes and breathe. This downtime allows your body to recalibrate and restore, deepen the benefits of contrast therapy, make connections with your community, and promote mental clarity and stress relief

5. Repeat
Feeling amazing? Let’s do it again! Repeat the cycle a few times to get the most out of your Banya experience. Each round deepens the benefits and leaves you feeling refreshed and recharged. There’s no right or wrong way to Banya—it’s all about what feels good to you. Whether you’re here to detox, de-stress, or just hang out with friends, our welcoming space is designed to make you feel your best.
